If you do not reblog this you are in fact lying.

Backstory: This weekend was Memorial Day weekend. The penultimate weekend, the weekend that says, “Summer’s coming! Homework is less important, and ice cream and bikinis are just waiting to tear you apart!” Also, there are a ton of festivals and such going on in town—like the Ski-to-Sea shindig. Because Bellingham is awesome.
Young Summer is also the time of year I actually start meeting a ton of people and making friends with them (yeah, and then two weeks later it’s like, “Okay, cool! Let’s hang out this Fall after not even texting all Summer! :D”).
Actual story: On Friday, my neighbor introduced me to this guy as we all sat on a lawn without even a blanket like hipster losers. His name is Mitchell. He is attractive at first sight.
On Saturday, I hosted a tea party where my suitemate met Mitchell. She later looked at me with her big little girl eyes and asked in her excited falsetto voice if I noticed how sweet and wonderful Mitchell is.
Thought: OH NO GURL, I MET HIM FURST *purse lips*.
My actual words: Yeah. Yeah. He is just like you. *smile*.
Because even if my current relationship has an expiration date (end of school), I’m not going to just let it sit out on the counter and spoil before its time. Faithful.
On Sunday, Mitchell, my suitemate, and I bike across town to the Ski-to-Sea after-party-festival-shindig-fest. The entire time she’s her high-pitched, liquorice-sweet, running-shoes-wearing, lunch-packing self. He gives us both seemingly unbiased and equal attention. I, honestly, just enjoy myself, and be myself, and nothing bothers me. Not her obvious crush or his impartial and so-sweet attention.
So the day rocks and we bike home and suitemate goes to study and I look in the mirror and can’t help thinking, “My bust is clearly superior to hers.”
Wonder if this is better than #arizona. #tea #sweettea #food #chips (Taken with instagram)
Peace Tea will always be superior.
Also, stop using instagram, it’s silly.
Went through my followers and started following everyone I wasn’t already.
Hopefully a good idea. ;)
Fun facts:
Saw Wicked in the Gershwin Theatre in NYC a few years ago, as did many other people.
Now, George Gershwin, for whom the theatre is named, is a composer. Of his works is included the piece, “Rhapsody in Blue” which, if you’ve seen Fantasia 2000 you’ll have seen, was depicted by Disney animators in a style inspired by Al Hirschfeld’s style of drawing.
My next time in New York we saw How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in the Hirschfeld Theatre.
I hadn’t realized any of this until I watched Fantasia 2000 again, just this last Friday.
It’s perhaps a little glimpse into the field of art—and perhaps metaphorically for all fields of study—just how close and tangled up everything is with collaborations and inspirations and random tourists.
First time in the city, 2009.
Kayaking on Lake Whatcom this weekend.
Finally got him out on the water without too much complaining. :D
Damn, I love her even more now.
